Section 504 is part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that prohibits discrimination on the basis of a disability. A Section 504 plan identifies the services and accommodations that are necessary for a student to access instruction and participate in educational and school-sponsored extracurricular activities. If your child has a disability or you suspect your child has a disability and requires a 504 accommodation plan, please contact your child's school for more information regarding the referral process.
